Navigating eBay Listing Issues and Identity Verification
Summary: mattismac shared their experience of encountering a policy violation on eBay shortly after starting to sell circuit boards from a Roland VP-300. Despite verifying their identity as prompted, the listing remained inaccessible without any specific feedback on the violation. They are seeking advice and insights on dealing with similar issues on eBay or other e-commerce platforms, particularly concerning policy compliance and effective communication with support teams.
Hello everyone,
I've recently run into a challenge after starting my eBay selling journey, which I believe is common for new sellers. Yesterday, I created my eBay account with the goal of selling some circuit boards from a Roland VP-300. However, my first listing was hidden due to a policy violation. Interestingly, I didn’t receive any specific feedback or messages addressing the violation directly, only a prompt to verify my identity.
I followed the provided link, submitted the required identity verification documents, and received a confirmation message stating my identity was verified. Despite this, the listing remains inaccessible, and I can't seem to edit or unpublish it. This situation is quite perplexing, and I'm eager to understand how to proceed.
Have any of you experienced something similar with eBay or other e-commerce platforms? How did you address issues related to policy violations and listing restrictions? Any advice on best practices to ensure compliance and maintain smooth communications with support teams? Your insights and experiences would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this new endeavor.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Ebay shows that this account was created yesterday. It takes time to complete registration on a new account, including verification of your banking details. That can be delayed by the bank itself.
I would go to the Issue Resolution Center in your Seller Hub to look for messages or instructions. I would also check your personal email connected with your eBay account.
With this being a holiday weekend with banks closed, I would give it a few more days.
Please let us know if you need further assistance.
