Mentor1 month ago · Edited@sin_8613 Please tell us what steps you have taken to receive a refund.
It sounds like you are saying that the item is not as described. Is that correct?
How long have you had the item?
What reason did you use on the return request case?
Please note that once you go to your payment method eBay can no longer assist you so save that as the last option. The payment method decision will be final even if it is not to issue a refund.

OP1 month agoI don't have the item. I've spent hours on the phone with eBay. Always an operator who sounds like a 9 year old girl with a very heavy accent. They were no help, they did not understand what I was saying or did not have any answers. I've cut & pasted most of the messages between myself and the seller. I pointed out every eBay violation & rule breaking that the seller did. eBay doesn't care, they enforced nothing, I can't say they even contacted the seller. It feels like eBay is letting this theft happen. 5k is felony amount. Should I contact the FTC.?

Mentor1 month ago · Edited@sin_8613 You don't have the item? Was it not received at all?
What exactly went wrong with the purchase?
Not as described? Not received?
I am trying to figure out what went wrong to be able to advise you what to do next.
I do not need the chats you had with an agent if you'd just answer these questions.

OP1 month agoFrom the start, the seller kept adding costs, constant delays & behavior consistent with a thief or scammer. (which I believe they are both.) During this period I lost trust in the seller & I began attempts to cancel the transaction, without success. The seller asked me to cancel because they could not afford delivery. eBay advised me to cancel. Now the seller, the buyer & eBay all 3 parties involved in this mess have tried to cancel it.

Mentor1 month ago · EditedIf the seller cannot/will not ship the item to you, you can file a Refund Request due to Item Not Received after 1 day past the estimated date of delivery but no later than 30 days past the EDD..
Go to your Purchase History and click on Order Details next to the item title to see if the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed.
IF/WHEN the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed by at least 1 day, you have up to 30 days past estimated date of delivery to file a Refund Request:
Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history
· Select “More actions” beside your item and then “I didn't receive it.”
· Click the box beside I want a refund.
· Select Send request.
If the seller does not respond to the refund request, after 3 business days you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.
· Find the item in your Purchase History
· Select See request details
· Select “Ask eBay to step in.”

OP1 month agoYour item may still be on its way
If you haven't received your item by Oct 7, go to your Purchases and find the item. Then select More actions beside the item and choose I didn't receive it to open a request.
I'm trying to STOP a delivery. The seller is shady & suspect. The transaction has had multiple attempts to cancel. I was supposed to be refunded 11 days ago. Seller has not contacted me since. I feel the seller may have shipped it to avoid refunding my money & I don't want to deal with this seller or the mess it has turned into. Keep the product & refund the money.
I'm probably on a government watch list for dealing with a company in China. And I should have scrolled on when I saw "China" on the ad. But, all of the sellers of this product are based in China. They use the same stock photography, descriptions prices. I believe "they" are all the same seller using different accounts.

Mentor1 month agoIf the item is in transit, there is no way to stop the delivery.
You still will be able to receive a refund if the item does not arrive after the estimated date of delivery has passed or the item is not as described.

Mentor1 month agoWhen shopping online, it’s best to use a credit card, as it offers an extra option to dispute charges outside of eBay’s platform if necessary.

OP1 month agoPayment was made via PayPal on a credit card. Since the thing qualified for the eBay 100 % guarantee. I thought I was covered.

OP1 month agoNo, it isn't here. (which I'm trying to stop any attempt at delivery. I can't open a return case. The seller has a no return policy. Therefore, if it shows up, even thought cancellation has been continually attempted for months.
Don't have it.
There is no return request. I was going for cancellation, based on seller's request to cancel because their fees changed & I've been trying to complete the cancellation since July.
Seller kept adding on costs, changed company names. Sent messages from several different seller accounts/names. Appears to be a scammer based in China. eBay doesn't care about that either.

Mentor1 month ago@sin_8613 First step is to file a not received refund request case as @lady_madonna stated.
Then if the item does finally arrive you can file a not as described return request case. This overrides the sellers no returns policy.
