My return request was refused by the seller for fraudulent item
Purchased a “Natural Burmese Ruby†ring but after 4 appraisers deemed it a very poor fake, I requested a return. The seller refused but I cannot get to a screen where I can ask ebay to “step in†and escalate my return request. Chat app is useless.

Mentor2 years agoYou only have 30 days from date of receipt to file a Returns Request. If it is past 30 days, the seller can decline. What reason did you give for the return? If the seller has a no returns policy, and you selected a buyer's remorse reason (changed mind, didn't like it, doesn't fit, founds it cheaper elsewhere) then the seller can decline the return. If you selected Not as Described/damaged, then the seller has 3 days to accept and either refund your payment or provide a return shipping label. If the seller does neither, then you go back to the Returns Request and click Ask ebay to step in, when it shows up on day 4.
