My requests for a refund for an undelivered item are being ignored by the seller.
The seller keeps ignoring my messages, keeps stalling me whenever he rarely answers, keeps saying come back later. I would like Ebay to step in and resolve my case. Nothing of this nature has happened before. He could easily refund my fourteen dollars, as he's sold 2.0K items so far. He appears to be hesitant to take action. I've tried every other option, as someone pointed out in this community help before, including trying to resolve my case directly with the seller. I've been waiting well over for seven months now. Could an Ebay official contact this seller on my behalf? Sorry, as I've got no other option.
**** I tried to insert screenshots here, with names blacked out, without success.

Really sorry that happened ...
After 7 months you are pretty much out of luck with a lot of ways to get your money back.
eBay's protection is for 30 days as outline below. PayPal usually covers 180 days and credit card disputes may or may not be allowed after that long.
You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the latest estimated delivery date: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
You can file a claim via the item in your Purchase History that you did not receive your item one day past the original estimated delivery date and up to 30 days after that. Follow the steps in the claim and they will lead to an eventually refund.
You can report a Seller here: Report an issue with a seller | eBay

OP10 months agoWell, the seller told me to be patient as it may take delays with the overseas shipment. Apparently, the seller took advantage of this eBay 180-day return policy to stall me. With overseas shipment it may take longer than promised, but shouldn't take longer than 180 days, I guess. I should've never waited this long. There wasn't a tracking for any location available, at a later stage either. Can a consumer get a refund if the item is still on its way, before the 180-day return policy? Do we have the right to seek compensation for an item that does not come on the specified date? What happens if we request a refund and the item arrives well after 180 days? I figured the item would arrive at its location eventually, because the seller had assured me it would.

The eBay Money Back Guarantee link in my first post is for 30 days not 180. 180 is if you file through PayPal because it is too late to do it with eBay. Doing it through PayPal is outside eBay as is filing a dispute with a credit card.
Yes, the Seller strung you out long enough to make it hard to get your money back.

OP10 months agoYes, thanks for pointing out ebay had 30 day money back guarantee and not 180 days (Paypal and credit cards outside ebay). I should've been more cautious with the given timeframe. Thank you for all of your assistance and taking the time to help.
