My refund on a defected camera

Question

I purchased a camera for my daughter which arrived late for her birthday AND defected. Iâ€™ve tried many many times to get it returned and get my money back with no success. I was promised by an eBay representative that vendor must respond to my return needs within 3 days but every time I see my request getting closed. I was told that eBay will step in and grant me my money back guaranteed if seller didnâ€™t meet the expectation but I have not seen that either. Please advise

If seller does not reply within the 3 days, either to accept the return or refund your full payment, on day 4, you go back to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.

Ebay has a 30-day Money Back Guarantee for Buyer Purchase Protection. You would be covered for up to 30-day days after delivery. After that, your option is to file a chargeback with your payment company. They also have deadlines.
