My post was removed incorrectly by eBay AI because I reside and sell from two different states
I have merchandise for Local Pick Up Only in both Los Angeles and in Las Vegas.
Ebay removed my post for a slot machine due to the rule that the buyer and the seller must both reside in a place where they are legal to sell and to own.
This is actually true because I had it posted as Local Pick Up Only from Las Vegas.
Ebay also said shipping details need to be blocked for those viewing it from an area where owning or selling a slot machine is not legal.
I posted NO shipping detail, because it was local pick up only
The AI that removed my post was incorrect. This is the second time the AI has made the same mistake.
I posted an item for Local Pickup Only from Los Angeles, the bot knew thF in was not in Los Angeles, it knew I was in las Vegas it emailed me a warning. Due to the fact that the AI caught a second violation concerning Two Cities it went directly to removing my post.
Both times the bot was wrong and the reason it was wrong was due to an inherent inability with All AI not just the ebay bot. The machine knows the rule about slot machines and the machine sees the the seller address in Los Angeles, so the machine automatically removes the post. Since eBay has the AI's rules set to, mistake #1 warning. Mistake #2 remove post. When eBay's bot proclaims you broke a rule the bot's word is law and it's final. If the bot has to point out to you that you are breaking the rule for a second time, the bot jumps to issuing punishment. eBay doesn't seem to understand AI's function is finding incongruities AI is not capable of "sussing out" rule breakers.
eBay could make it so when the AI notifies someone of an incongruity that looks to it like a rule violation, at the end of the AI's email it could have a way in which people can respond with either
1-Thanks that was helpful or 2- the incongruity is not a rule violation and here is why
Btw I didnt put this in the community section because I was hoping for advice, I am hoping the community can give this to the people at eBay.
