My order was never received and now the seller account has been deleted.
I bought a figure last July from a seller who said there was an extended wait time since it was in production so I waited. A month later I received a notification it was shipped but the shipment was marked "delivered" the second it reached California. I am on the east coast so that is most definitely not delivered. I contacted the seller who said that it was a mistake and that they would give me a new tracking number when the figure was completed. I guessed I may have been scammed at that point but as the seller was still readily communicating with me I continued to wait. Every few months I would check in and they would say figure would would be available soon. Now I go in to discover that the seller account has been deleted and I can't contact them anymore. I have tried to go into the EBay help system to see if I have any options but since it was falsely marked as delivered the help system does not register a problem and I can't file a complaint or a file a report. I am basically wondering if there is still any way to get a refund for it or do I have to take the loss.

Mentor4 months agoYou are no longer covered by the Ebay Money Back Guarantee. You needed to take action within 30 days from estimated date of delivery that was shown in your order details.
You could have probably filed a dispute with your credit card company/bank, but it's likely too late for that, too.
In the future, be aware of Ebay's timelines for filing a request through the Money Back Guarantee.

OP4 months agoI figured that was the case. That was probably why they sent a fake package so it said delivered within the 30 day window. If that happens again I won't accept them saying "Oh it was an accident" and I will file a complaint. Thank you for your prompt reply.
