My gift card only has nine digits but it says you need 13. How do I use it

Did you scratch off the remaining 4 digits?

Where did you buy it, and do you still have the receipt - you may need to take it back to the store for a refund or replacement.
First contact the eBay CS/Gift Card team see if they can help - the issue with 9-digit cards is not new.
Open this Help page on Gift cards
-At the bottom Click on "Contact us"
-In the Help Chatbox that opens, to bypass the bots, type AGENT then press the Send arrow
-Keep typing "AGENT" to any bot questions.
-For the box asking "Yes"/"Something else" click on "Yes"
You should see the options to Chat live with an agent, or have them call you.
Note: The Call Back option doesn't always work if your carrier blocks spam/telemarketing calls.
With the Chat option eBay will automatically email you a transcript.
