My bank account privacy
Can eBay see the balance of my bank account used for receiving payment for items sold? Are they able to withdraw amounts in excess of charges due for their services?

Another option is to add a back up payment method like a credit card with a specific limit. That's what I did when I set up Managed Payments with eBay back in 2019. Since that time they have not taken a dime out of my checking account and all charges on my credit card I can verify - like refunds to Buyers, Store fees, etc. (when my Available balance does not cover those costs). Mentor1 year agoNo eBay cannot see the balance in your bank account. However, by listing items you have given them permission to collect money for any fees you incur or any refunds they make on your behalf so they could withdraw money in excess of what you have in your account.
