My $1600 collectible card was lost or stolen by authenticator

I sent a Jaxson Dart autographed card to a buyer, and it was either lost or stolen at the Authenticator. I was paid for the card as if it was authenticated. Generally, we are not to be paid unless the card is authenticated and on its way to the buyer. The Authenticator says they received an empty box but they refuse provide proof that they received an empty box. They hid the fact that this card was missing for an entire week from me. They told the buyer not to contact me. This is all incredibly wrong. I know the authenticating facility has video cameras in every single area and they could oblige me by providing me proof, but they refuse to. Ebay has closed this case. What do I do?

What do you mean by "this case" ? Who opened a case and what kind of case?
