morning email alerts

Question

For the last 5 or 6 years I have set up a number of morning email alerts for Items that I am wanting to see as soon as they are listed in order to purchase of follow that item through to the sale or winning bid. This system is great, when it works. It stops or starts on its own. I can remove all of the requests and start over and it just might start off the next day or the next month.. What seems to be the problem ?

Lots of things can go wrong between eBay and your inbox: eBay could be failing to send the messages, the network could be failing to pass them along at some point, your mail provider could be dropping the messages, a spam filter or filter rule could be preventing your mail provider from forwarding them to your desktop mail client program, your inbox can be filtering messages as well. Some mail services such as Yahoo may have changed the way messages are organized, hiding some messages you were expecting to see in your inbox.

You may want to consider using a third-party service to increase the chances of receiving timely updates for critical searches. Google automated searches eBay for some possible options.
