Monopolized item
I have been perplexed for years about one particular seller whom I will not name For privacy reasons. This EBay seller has sold certain items That I have observed over the years as only being sold by himself with absolutely no other sellers on eBay nor any other buying and selling website in the United states to give him any competition in price, resulting in extremely inflated prices for these items. This has bothered me for many years and so I thought I would put this question out through the community and hopefully get some input on why this would be able to happen and why it has carried on for years and years with no other sellers ever putting identical or even similar items for sale seems almost ludicrous since these are somewhat in high demand and by no means some very unique technical piece of electronics or something. The items that he sells are in fact sold elsewhere and also on eBay however not in this country. Again I find it truly bizarre that this person is the only person in the United States of America who has been able to acquire these items to sell in the United states and no other person has been able to. Any input on this weird monopoly would be greatly appreciated because I would very much like to know why this single person out of the thousands of people in America have been able to find a distributor that would supply them with products. I know from personal experience but this individual is not a financial wizard or so intelligent that he found a way that no one else could possibly do. I also will not give the details of why I know this to be true. Thank you for your consideration best regards

Mentor2 years agoIf your description is accurate, you have identified an opportunity for profit.
You indicate that it is possible to purchase these items overseas, bring them in to this country and sell them here for less than the "monopoly" seller, but still for much more than it costs.
Instead of asking why others are not taking advantage of this opportunity, you should be asking yourself. Why are you not getting into this business?
