The USPS lost a package which I paid for. I opened a case for eBay to investigate. eBay closed the case because of no activity. Does eBay usually default on its investigations? This leaves me having paid for something which eBay has collected fees for services, like its guarantee, and not receiving either the purchase or the services. Sounds like fraud. Is there anyone at eBay who can uphold the contract they have now breached?

Mentor8 months agoeBay does not investigate missing packages. When you open a case for an "Item not received" it is up to the seller to see what happened to the package since they are the ones to ship the item and not eBay. However, eBay only keeps cases open for a short period of time and if you do not "Ask eBay to step in" then they will close the case. Your problem was with the seller and not eBay.
Now that eBay has closed the case you need to go to your payment source and see if you can open a charge back for the purchase.
