Money Back Guarantee is a SCAM!!!
I've been ripped off multiple times because ebay's policy is that cancellation needs seller's approval after a shipping label is printed.
So scammers offer a great deal, it says money back guarantee, they print a shipping label to prevent cancellation, and then keep your money.
Then you have to beg for cancellation, beg for refund, file a dispute, etc. Eventually you get your money back but when you needed it for an air conditioner, you end up going without air conditoning for the hottest month of the summer and/or paying retail because you can't afford to tie up even more money on another Ebay scam.
All the while you can see the tracking NEVER UPDATED BECAUSE THEY NEVER SHIPPED!!!
Ebay's policy should be the following
Buyer pays and delivery window is sent to buyer. If the item has a shipping label but was never delivered to carrier for shipping (tracking is stuck on first of three) and the delivery widow has expired, then the buyer should be allowed to automatically cancel.
THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANY COMMUNICATION NECESSARY BETWEEN A BUYER AND AN OBVIOUS CRIMINAL.
Ebay, update your policy. If they don't even ship by the end of the delivery window then the buyer should be able to cancel PERIOD!!!
QUIT HARBORING CRIMINALS!!!

Mentor1 year agoThere is no point asking a scammer for a cancellation or a refund.
And there is no need to beg anyone for anything to use the money back guarantee.
Avoid doing business with obvious scammers -- new accounts with no selling history offering deals that are too good to be true or selling things that no one else can obtain, or suspicious accounts that have drastically changed selling behavior lately and have never sold any similar items before. If you choose to deal exclusively with experienced sellers with good reputations for selling similar items, that will eliminate many problems right off the bat.
If a seller provides no tracking number, file an "item not received" case with eBay the day after the last estimated delivery date, and ask eBay to step in three business days later. Unless the seller can provide tracking that actually shows delivery, the buyer will automatically win and get a refund.
If the seller delivers something, but not what was ordered, start a "not as described" return with eBay within thirty days of receipt. If the seller does not refund or provide for a return via tracked shipping and refund upon return, ask eBay to step in after three business days to get a refund.
If the seller provides tracking that shows delivery but nothing arrives, check with the shipping service to determine if the tracking number actually corresponds to a delivery to your address. If not, you may have a case of false tracking. Obtain some documentation from the shipping service that demonstrates that, then contact eBay via social media, use the phrase "false tracking" and you should be given an opportunity to provide your documentation and get a refund.
