Mixed up packages
Summary: curatedbleu mixed up two shipping labels and is seeking advice on resolving the issue. They have already refunded one buyer and contacted the other, who prefers to wait for the correct package rather than request a refund. lady_madonna advises that a return request is needed to provide a prepaid return label, while eastlaneave suggests creating and sending a label through a third-party service as an alternative solution.
For the first time, I switched two shipping labels. I had a horrible feeling I did as soon as I dropped them in the box after hours at the Post Office. I already refunded one buyer (another seller) and contacted the other buyer, also a seller. The buyer I didn't refund said to send the package when I get it back, instead of requesting a refund. How do I get shipping labels sent to them for the returns on the items? I don't see the option on the refunded purchase. Since the other buyer does not want to open a return request and then repurchase the item, I am not sure how to send them a label to them. Thanks so much!

If your buyer doesn't want to submit a return request
1) Create a label from a 3rd party site such as Pirate Ship
2) Save the label. By default the label is a PDF file
3) Open the pdf label and Save As a JPG file
- You could also screenshot or "clip" the label to make a JPG
4) Send the JPG to the buyer by eBay Messages. (PDFs don't send through messages.)
Or send the pdf by email

Mentor1 month agoYou cannot provide a return shipping label for the buyer that you already refunded.
The other buyer must file a Return Request ("wrong item received") in order for you to provide a prepaid return shipping label.
