Mistakenly paid for a $153 dollar shipping label for a tennis racquet from California to Florida!
I foolishly was in a rush and had always saved money with eBay shipping labels.
Only later I realized that I had paid 153.74 shipping for a $74 sale!
My mistake for clicking on buy without reading it but this is pretty absurd on EBay’s part.
of course, I can’t seem to be able to reach a human eBay representative to complain.
Any one else been overcharged or almost fallen for it?

·1 year agoHave you already shipped the item? If not, cancel the label and try again, making sure all the weight and dimensions are correct and that if it does not apply (hopefully you're using a rectangular box and not an odd-shaped one) that the Irregular Package option is not checked.
Here's how to cancel a shipping label you printed on eBay:
Go to Manage shipping labels
Find the item you'd like to cancel the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select Cancel Label.
Choose your reason for canceling the label.
Select Send request.

You have 28 days from the date you printed the label to cancel it. The refund takes up to 21 days for USPS labels.

OP1 year agoThank you for the helpful advice.
The whole thing was caused by me rushing to get it off for the buyers upcoming tennis tournament.
Multiple stupid mistakes on my part, but I won’t do it again and will take your advice to heart.
Ebay customer support actually refunded me $100 after explaining that it was really my mistake.
In the end I got nothing from the sale except a hard lesson and good thoughts for the EBay representative.
