Mistake! Retracting a bid
Hello,
I missed adding a decimal point to my bid and my $103.69 bid is now $10,369! This was an absolute mistake and I need help. Cancel/ retracting my bid. Can someone please help me?? I have already messaged this seller but it's an incredibly huge mega cellar and I'm afraid they won't get the message. Also a few other dates have already come in. Am I in a third bid is now getting up the listing. Hell!

On this page, there is a blue "button" that you can push to start the bid retraction process.

As long as there is more than 12 hours left in the auction, you will be able to retract the bid for "wrong amount entered" and then enter the correct bid (with decimals).

OP1 year ago thank you. I went through the process you went lined above and it's telling me that I need the seller's agreement to retract the bid. I did message the seller immediately after I made the bid late last night. I have not received a response yet. Hopefully they'll understand and improve the reaction. I wish there was another way to automatically retract it.

·1 year agoeBay did away with retractions on the various trading card categories a couple of years ago after a pandemic of "bid shielding" became evident. The seller can cancel the bid up until the end of the auction, but the bidder cannot retract for any reason at any time.
