To do as @jacbarcollectibles described, run a transaction report and sort it by state to get your MO sales, and your out of state sales. The MO sales tax return will have a line for you to deduct out of state sales, so that you are left with your MO sales. You then pay the sales tax on those sales.
https://www.ebay.com/mes/transaction-reports?sh=true&q=payment-transaction-report
They will also charge you penalties and interest for late filing and late payment.
You will want to file for 2022, also.
Since you have to go to court to protest the assessment of tax on all of your sales, having the sales tax return filled out will give you the documentation that you need to show a reasonable amount of tax to be paid.

No problem - ask as many questions as needed!
MO must have a way for you to report without having a retail or reseller ID. This is good since after you settle 2021 and 2022, eBay handled the tax, so you only have 2 returns to file.
You will only owe tax on your MO sales. The sales tax return probably starts with your total sales, then has you deduct out of state sales.
On the transaction report page, set your date range - it is a lot of hitting the back arrows. Then download the report - it is a spreadsheet. Once you open the spreadsheet, you’ll want to select all of the transactions and sort it by the column that has the state in it. Then add a total for the MO sales. If you have a friend that is handy with a spreadsheet, they can do this quickly for you.

Mentor4 months agoAlthough eBay began collecting sales tax for Missouri in 2023 they had a sales tax prior to this date. They want you to claim the sales made within the State in 2021 and pay the sales tax you should have collected on the in-state sales.
