Missleading or fraudulent ads?????
What should you do when you find a user or store with multiple ads that are basically fraudulent? What am I talking aboout? Well I am not naming names yet but I was looking for some car parts and was trying to get lifetime warranty on the parts I pick. So I see tons of this guys ads with lifetime warranty in the title of multiple ads and when I look at his return policy it just states 60 days. Then futher on in the ad it has information from the manufacturer and they state the warranty is limited. I go ahead and email the user and ask who supplies the lifetime warranty him or the manufacturer and where is the information on it. He responds back that their is no lifetime warranty. I reply and tell him he needs to change his ads as I believe they are fraudulent. He responds thanks for the info and so far no changes in his ads. I'll give him a day or two but he is running an ebay store and ebay is not policing their store owners very well I believe.
I guess I will wait for some feedback.

Mentor2 years agoEvery eBay listing has a "Report item" link. If you want to report the seller, there is a form you can reach via the Help & Contact page under Buying if you scroll to the bottom of the options.
eBay's money back guarantee, which is not a warranty, only applies in the first thirty days after receipt of the item.
Manufacturer's warranties typically only apply if you purchase the item directly from an authorized dealer; check with the manufacturer to see what your options are. Even if the item is still new in the box, typically such warranties are not transferable.
A warranty is only as good as the reputation of whoever offers it. A claim of a two year warranty made by a random seller on eBay is not worth much. Neither you nor eBay can force the seller to honor the warranty if the seller disappears or ignores you.
You may have some protection from PayPal or your payment method; PayPal and many credit cards may offer some protection for up to six months from the date of purchase. After that, your options are limited.
