Missing payment.
Ebay statement states payment sent but it isn't showing up in my back account. I contacted the bank but there is no record of the payment. Also the amount is more than it should be. I sold the item for $150.00 and after all the fees were deducted the payment amount was $159.06. That doesn't make any sense. The automated system just sends me in circles. Everything is correct and up to date and it seems eBay no long provides a phone number to speak to a live tech. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

OP2 years agoOK, so I found the payment. It just appeared in an unrecognizable amount. $113.39. I guess they caught the error and held the payment until it was all straightened out without so much as an explanation. I couldn't figure out what the $113.39 payment was for as the dates don't match the $150. payout and no mention of the error. Thanks to all that responded. It's nice to to know your not talking to yourself when over a $100 bucks is missing.

Mentor2 years agoThe amount is the total price (item + shipping + tax) and then the fees are deducted from there. It does take a few days for it to appear in your account. Does it show in your payouts? You can click on see details for more info on the payouts screen.

OP2 years agoThe total sale of the item (what I charged) was $150. They paid for shipping, I also clicked to promoted the item so that is around 13% plus insertion fee (.30) plus whatever the charge is for the label so there is no way I could end up with more money than I was asking for. I only mentioned the wrong amount in hopes that it might be what triggered this entire error. But since there is no longer a live tech to talk to I have no Idea of how to go about fixing this.

I see the listing as $150 for price of item plus $19.95 for shipping (to my location), so total amount the buyer paid would be $169.95, then minus your fees would be your payout.
(actual shipping charge paid by buyer could be more, depending on their location)

The amount you receive is the total amount of the buyer payment (item price + shipping charges) minus your selling fees.
It takes 1-4 days for the bank to process the payment into your bank account after Ebay sends your payout.

OP2 years agoI charged $150. I only mentioned the error in the payout in hopes that someone had a similar problem and that that is what triggered the error. Since eBay no longer offers a live tech I am at a loss as to what to do. I checked with the bank in hopes that the payment was posted to another account but they couldn't find anything. I don't know where to go from here. A $150. is a good amount of money to just dismiss as "Oh well, it's gone."
