Missed Shipment - What to do

Question

I missed a ship date for the first time - we were about to head out of town and it just slipped our mind until it was too late. As soon as we realized it, we reached out to the buyer and apologized; however, because we were out of town, we had no ability to ship for the next week. We have now returned from our trip, but never heard anything from the buyer, and of course our item is still pending shipment. What should we do? I assume they may not want it at this point, but no way to know since they never responded.

I actually did have time away set up, but it started the day after this was due to ship out. We were just busy getting ready to leave town and somehow missed this - first time in years of doing this, oddly enough.

@johmily You have the buyers phone number in your order details and can text them to see if they still want the item. If they don't respond I would just ship with an apology note in the box.

For future reference be sure to turn on Time Away

when you will be out of town.
