Misled by eBay Support: 2nd VeRO Restriction (14 Days Total) - Need Advice
Hello everyone,
I’m seeking advice from experienced sellers regarding a repeating VeRO restriction on my account. This is my second 7-day restriction this month, and I feel I’ve been unfairly penalized due to misinformation from eBay's own support team.
When I received the first restriction, I contacted Customer Service immediately. The representative assured me it was just a 'routine check' to ensure better service and told me there was 'no issue' with my account or listings. Relying on this official advice, I didn't remove the flagged items. Now, I’ve been restricted for another 7 days for the exact same policy.
Because of this misleading information, I’ve lost 14 days of sales this month, and my business reputation is at risk. My appeal was recently denied despite explaining that I followed a representative's instructions.
Has anyone else dealt with incorrect advice from support leading to a suspension? How can I effectively prove that the representative misled me? I want to protect my account from a permanent ban and clear this from my record.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
