Miscellaneous questions
I have been an eBay member over 20 years and have an over 2600 100% rating. I have tried having eBay contact me recently, get a 2, 3, 20 minute notice, but no one ever calls me. In the past they returned calls quickly. Also, I have had 4 people cancel items they have purchased. This never happened in the past for me. Ebays policy to deal with cancellers IS NOT EFFECTIVE. Nothing much happens to them even though eBay says they have a penalty.

Mentor1 week agoRegarding nonpayment, if you wait four days and cancel for nonpayment, the buyer receives an unpaid item strike. If you cancel earlier or for another reason, the buyer does not receive a strike.
Sellers can preemptively block any user with two or more unpaid item strikes in the last year from bidding or buying using the Buyer Requirements page.

Mentor1 week agoBuyers can only ask for a cancellation bur the seller has to approve it. Of course, it is in your best interest to cancel the purchase as you do not want to force a buyer to buy an item they do not want. Forcing the sale will only led to problems afterward for you.
eBay really does not do anything about buyers who cancel purchases. They do however do something about buyers who do not pay for their purchases as long as sellers do what they are supposed to do.

OP1 week agoI disagree on parts of what was said. On two of the non payments, I had to ok the cancellation. On the one today eBay said it was already cancelled according to my setting which I never approved in any setting that I know about. As to aBay doing something to the non payment buyer, I was told by eBay the buyer MIGHT have a bad mark against. If he got three bad marks, he would be suspended for a short time. This was told me by an eBay representative. Whatever they do is not working as I have had nonpayment issues 4 times recently. And I have called eBay 5 times in the past 2 weeks, wuth No RESPONSES! THEY USED TO BE GOOD at quickly responding.
