mis graded coins
Approximently 20 years ago, I bought graded coins (Peace silver dollars) on ebay. I just went to sell them and was told that grading companies NAC,NGA, NAS, AND PCNG are not accepted companies for grading and that every coin I have graded ms66, were all badly mis represented. Ebay entitled these companies graded coins to be sold and now I am extremely disappointed. Whos at fault and what can I do?

·2 years agoTwenty years ago, eBay exercised very little control over what sellers sold, as eBay was simply the platform. eBay did not then, and does not now, have the ability to determine the quality of items on its site. eBay utilizes buyer feedback and seller reports to take action against sellers; while eBay's 30 day money back guarantee is eBay's way of protecting buyers, but only if a buyer acts within those 30 days.
Who's fault? "Buyer beware" comes to mind. Unfortunately, not much can be done about the past. eBay has continually tightened the site over the years to reduce fraud. The new outside Authentication services are a step in that direction, and even they are not always right. You may want to take your coins to a local coin shop for an opinion.
