Minimum Bids
Did minimum bids change? Now, I'm only able to bid in increments of at least $1 for items over $1. I've chosen not to bid on many items for this reason.

eBay appears to be experimenting with larger bid increments in some cases.

Anything that makes the bidding process less transparent or less predictable has a negative effect on auctions for both bidders or sellers as far as I can tell. Ultimately, bidders can adapt to almost anything except unpredictability.
