messages Offensive ??
I have tried to send a simple message to some sellers, but Ebay keeps saying its "offensive" and wont allow it. Could someone please tell me What is the Problem with this message ; Hi, Your toothpick holder was made by the Imperial Glass Co. in the 1970's in there Caramel Slag color. Called the 3 swans toothpick. The Akro Agate Glass Co. Never made this one. I don't see any problem, why does Ebay ?? orangeapple

Drop the word "Slag" and try again ... in British English it can be used as an insult meaning a promiscuous or contemptible woman, though its literal industrial meaning is neutral the way you are using it. I suspect the eBay Message monitoring system is the same program used in the UK as here in the US.
Other suggestions just to avoid being accused of trying to take a transaction off eBy is to drop the word "called" and replace it with "named".
Other comments: The word "there" should be either "the" or "their".

OP2 weeks agoWow I never thought of slag as offensive, there are a lot of listings with slag glass in them, but maybe its just the message bot that tags it, i will try with out the slag to see if that works. Thanks Tom
