Why do I get this message when I'm trying to get info to a seller on buying something !!!!!!!!!!!
I want to make sure the purchase is correct, is this AI hassling me again.
I have been on Ebay a long time, but I might consider leaving!

Mentor2 years agoEither something in your message looked like contact information to a simple scanning script -- possibly a part number that looked like a phone number, or something that looked like an email address or a web site -- or else something in the other user's message to you contained similar looking information.
Scammers try all sorts of ways to get around eBay's rules about sending contact information, so eBay has to catch anything that might be contact information, and sometimes innocent messages trigger that response.

OP2 years agoThere was NO email address or Phone number in the content....I simply spoke about how I liked the item for sale.
But I shall no longer do that.
