ME: exactly I agree so then why was I charged an extra $14.25

Even if your package's longest side (28 inches) and second longest side (8 inches) do not exceed UPS surcharge thresholds, other factors can cause additional charges, such as:
Dimensional noncompliance fees if dimensions were inaccurately provided when creating the shipping label
Nonstandard volume or cubic volume surcharges if the package exceeds certain size or volume limits
Additional handling or large package surcharges based on UPS rules
These surcharges are applied by UPS to cover extra handling or billing adjustments and can cause charges even if weight and basic dimensions seem compliant.
