Message from EBay looks suspicious

Question

I received this message from EBay and doesnâ€™t look or sound right. It wants me to verify my account by copying and pasting an included link. Iâ€™m not sure what to do and I am having trouble finding a contact email for eBay. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If eBay sends you a message, it will be addressed to you by full name, and will not come from a random username with a number in it; it will come from eBay and will appear in your messages under "From eBay". eBay will never ask you to copy and paste something into your browser address bar -- that is something scammers often do, though.

If the email is not in your message account it could be a scam. Messages | eBay I would treat it like any other spam/scam attempt. Block and report.
