I got a message on my ebay message saying that someone from another state had logged into my account? Is this legitimate?

@hctrellac This can be a false report if you are using a VPN or even Starlink

Otherwise I recommend changing your password. Changing the password will log out anyone that is logged in to your account. Be sure to use a different password on your email account too.

Note that location information comes from the network provider, and may not be accurate if you are using a VPN, hotspot or Starlink network, or if your provider reports a different location.

If you think someone may have gained access to your eBay account, change your eBay password immediately and examine your account details closely for any changes. Particularly look at Primary Shipping Address and contact information.
