Merchant wont send return back
I ordered an item for my car covered by ebay fit tool. It dod not fit. Ebay said send a message to the merchant for instructions. The merchant sent a eeturn label on ebay messages. All conversations were with the merchant on ebay app.
The merchant got the item and because the box was open and the rotors had fingerprints on one of them they would not take them back. I told the merchant that i tried one on. They new the box and plastic were open. So i asked if i could at least get my rotors that i paid for back. They said no. Ebay said they cant help because they didn't facilitate the return directly even though they said they could see the return.
Am i the only one? I guess we can just not return items that we dont accept as returnable? Keep the money and the item?

OP1 year agoTjank you. I dont disagree, but i talked to an ebay rep on the phone who said fir me to contact the merchant directly. So I did.
So anyone falling for that doesn't get their stuff back. What if it was gold or something valuable?
I just dont see how this is a thing. Ebay guarantees that they fit. The merchant does to. My model has a one size bigger rotor because of the battery bank, and i guess ebay got that wrong and also doesn't want to fix it because it is still like that as of a gew days ago.

Mentor1 year ago@sctilli-0. You can try customer service on social media and see if you get a different answer. I recommend that you report the agent for the bad information on how to file a return request.
Contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.

That is the only way that eBay can assist you.
I recommend contacting your bank or credit card for a chargeback. Provide the tracking and messages that show that you returned the rotors.
