A yard of fabric is 36 inches long, so a square yard of fabric would be L. 36" x W. 36" However, since fabrics come in different widths a buyer would have to add in seam and hemming allowances for making their project when ordering. Just measure how many yards long your fabric is and its width. Post those in your listing. Ex: Cotton 5 yards- 180" long by 45" wide.

The "yard" indicates the length of the fabric but the width can vary. If you have some to sell you will have to measure the width yourself. If you are considering buying and it is not on the listing ask the Seller.
