Max bid
Question about bidding, if you set your max bid at $10 and win, and the next closest bid was $6.50
My experience I have always paid the highest bid which would be $6.51, not the max amount.
Please let me know if I’m right

If your maximum proxy bid was $10, and the 2nd highest bidder bid $6.50, then you would win for $7.00, which is one increment above $6.50, UNLESS the seller had a Reserve Price set at $10 in which case you would win with your maximum proxy bid.
Do you have an item number or link to the listing page to better assess the situation?

OP3 years agoThat makes sense, the Max and 2nd highest bidder diff was .50 cents
