Material defect disclosed after Seller accepted offer.
Hi, I hope you can tell me what to do. I can't find advice in the Help section.
I made an offer for an item that the Seller accepted, creating a commitment on my part to follow through with the purchase. However, before payment was made, the Seller let me know of a material defect in the item that was previously undisclosed. This defect made the item undesirable for my purposes. I wrote to him, thanking him for his honestly, but telling him the item wouldn't work for me and asking him to cancel the transaction. I have not yet received a reply. The purchase obligation is still in my shopping cart, even though the Seller has relisted the item. What do I do if he doesn't cancel the transaction? I have rescinded one offer previously, and I don't want to cause myself problems. Ebay is a great resource for me.
