    Make Buyer Return Item

Buyer claimed item is damaged and leaves negative feedback solely on shipping damage to item.s-l140.jpg

We listed and sold this item for $1. We declared there was damage as shown in photo. There also was a large chip on underside of saucer didn't show here. The buyer stated the pedals received some damage.

I admit my mistake and take responsibility.

Doesn't respond to offers to send to restorer. The damaged pieces would be in the package and with them a restorer could repair item to near undetectable. The damage already to the cup is likely worse then the new damage. The initial damage couldn't be repaired but the new could be which would make it resemble what we shipped.

    Refuses to answer any messages

Doesn't comply request to send photos of damage

Leaves a negative feedback then hides. Is that a member action the community supports

Is buyer excessively unreasonable and in general a Meanie

If Requested eBay Should Make buyer return the Item

Buyers can request a return for an item not as described.

And then, eBay wants you to accept the return, send a return label, and refund when you got the item back.

If you don't, the buyer can ask eBay to step in. Ebay can refund the buyer without requiring the buyer to return the item. And you will receive a nasty defect.

    Accept within 3 business days.

This is normal procedure. I doubt if the buyer and you know that.

Other factors include my failure to box then place it package rather that multiple bubble wraps.

It shipped on Dec. 23 possible contributing. I was in a hurry to get the item shipped.

On the package in thick bold black felt pen there were 6 different warning stating "FRAGILE", "Do Not Drop"

"Careful", Do Not Toss", "Danger", and" Do Not Fumble". This wording couldn't be missed by handler but timing of shipping could have contributed. I have never had a package occur damage when over the top warnings were placed on a package. It comes down to what does the client achieve if harming the seller for a year.

Also please note the buyer used to sell on eBay and received 2 negative feedback that required eBay to step in. They quit selling to remove the low feedback score associated with member's name. They have first hand experience as to the ramifications leaving feedback causes.

Since then member left two neutral FeedBack.  These were possibly due to ESE shipping. They complain "No communication from the seller on why it took so long either." However it's okay on your part.  Also "Will my next review be very negative if the shipping time is as bad or worse as it was? Absolutely!" Seems they are smitten with their power.

    Simple

Make the buyer return the item they are so unhappy with

Ebay cannot force the buyer to return the item.

Everything you wrote about the buyer is immaterial to the situation at hand.

Writing "fragile", etc. on a package is useless (given past experience) and damage cannot be prevented, especially if not adequately packaged as you admit.

The buyer is not obligated to return the item nor provide pictures of the new damage.

You can reply to the feedback, calmly and factually.
