Major issue between USPS and eBay in past 3 days or so. Ebay clueless.
First, I've removed all my FOR SALE listings on ebay as there is NO WAY to resolve issues, ever. Never listing anything here again.
For my last 3 sales, over the past 14 days, I've purchased USPS shipping labels through ebay and I've mailed the items within 1-2 days of sale. The tracking numbers are all unique in the numerical section of the receipt. However, the tracking number associated with the QR code - which is what determines where a package is delivered - is a completely different tracking number. There appears to be something wrong in the API between USPS and eBay. My last 3 sales, USPS shows the same tracking number behind the QR code (though different tracking number printed numerically on the receipt.) Who is to say if it's a USPS or eBay issue in the interface? I see MANY other folks here describing similar situations, but they may not have as much detail as I do because I grilled someone at the PO today until they queried another computer they have and found the issue. I have al the numbers, dates, etc. but there is NO ONE to give this info to who will really dig into the problem. Meanwhile, I'll get gigged for not shipping on time and get bad ratings etc. eBay sucks. No place to resolve MAJOR issues. By the time they figure out this is happening and fix it - weeks from now - I'll have been rated badly by 3 buyers and I don't want to spend DAYS and WEEKS of my life fighting it with ebay.
