Mail arriving late
EBay contacted me about my "late arrival" percentage. I sell postcards. Most are under $20. Buyers don't want to pay $6.08 to have it sent Certified mail for a small amount. I'd never sell anything. So I take my chances with USPS. Well, I have been selling mostly PA & VA postcards lately. Numerous items have not reached the customer within the 10 days I have stated in my listing. So, they file a grievance & I have to refund them. Weeks later they get the item. Some have emailed me back stating so. Does eBay not know that USPS is doing a MAJOR rerouting of mail!? Here is the article on their own web site. I get punished for late arrivals yet I do my part in mailing. USPS is a total failure to eBayers.
The USPS is continuing its 10-year "Delivering for America" plan, aiming to consolidate mail processing into ~60 regional "mega-plants" and convert others into Local Processing Centers. While this has led to significant mail delays and backlash, the USPS is moving forward, although with some pauses on certain consolidations. What am supposed to do? Start my own web site & sell there only? EBay threatened to raise my fees if I am a bad boy much longer.....please!!!!!!!!
