mad seller
How do I (a buyer) deal with a seller who is mad after reading my negative review? The seller is accusing me of being dishonest, threatening to reduce the refund amount, not acknowledging the multiple problems throughout the sale, and has barred me from their site? Should I be concerned? It feels like I tried everything I could on my end to get things right, but eventually I had to return the item. I don't know how to protect myself and/or my account from retribution.

Your seller is just puffing smoke because they are mad. You will be just fine. If the seller reduces your refund for ANY reason, make sure you ask Ebay to step in on the Return Request you filed.
They just blocked you from being able to purchase from them again and maybe from sending them messages. Don't worry about that. This certainly sounds like a seller you don't want to do business again. And they can NOT hurt your account.
Once you get your money back, I would encourage you to report this seller for the harsh messages they sent you. Sellers should not do that and Ebay needs to know about it.
