I canceled an order few hours after purchase after 8 at night. The item did not ship that fast. I will not pay return cost that could have been avoided.

·2 years agoThe whole deal could have been avoided if you hadn't bought the item if you didn't want it.
A buyer can only ask the seller to cancel an order, but the seller isn't required to cancel it.

Mentor2 years agoBuyers cannot cancel orders, they can only request a cancellation. Sellers are under no obligation to honor a cancellation request. Cancelling an order costs a seller time and money and disrupts the marketplace for other buyers. Some sellers cannot cancel because the order goes into a shipping system as soon as the order is received. Some sellers just don't want to do it...
Whatever the reason, the important takeaway here is to decide whether you want the item BEFORE you commit to buy it - not after. Per the user agreement you signed, you are obligated to complete the transaction.
If you want to return the item (assuming the seller accepts returns), you may have to pay for shipping based on the sellers return policy.
