Lowering the price of an item that you have already made an offer to a potential buyer
Summary: southerntradecousa asked about the implications of lowering the price of an item after making an initial offer to a potential buyer but did not provide further details, and there are no responses to this query.
I have an item that I would like to lower the price on, but much of the listing is blocked from edit due to an offer I put out to a potential buyer. The new price would be lower than the offer price that I sent to the buyer. Is it appropriate to end the listing and relist it with the lower price without raising the ire of the algorithm or the bots that monitor the platform? If I do this would it be good customer service to try and message the buyer that the listing has been taken down and relisted at aa price lower than the current offer to him/her? Thank you!
