One approach is to simply list your items for the lowest price you will accept and cover eBay fees and your profit margin. That way you will not have to use any promotions or discounts.
Don't use the Best offer prices either, interested Buyers can always message an offer to you and the message flow has a Reply with offer button if you decide to engage in an offer.
I think so also. I always figured if something could not be sold that is why it was marked down. Thank you

True enough ... when I see discounts at stores I often think the price was originally inflated and the discount simply brings the price down to list and the company still makes its normal profit ...
While that may or may not be true that is what I think ...
