lots of scam sellers on e-bay recently
I have used E-Bay for 25 yrs & within the last two months the amount of Scam Sellers has exploded.

Is it more scam sellers or the same number of scam sellers using multiple accounts to post more listings?
Don't buy from scammers; choose to buy from experienced sellers that have a proven track record of delivering exactly what was described as shown in the seller's feedback. Avoid new and unproven sellers until they have proven themselves.
Scammers are constantly creating new accounts, so scammers are vastly over-represented among new seller accounts, and are also under-represented among experienced seller accounts.

OP5 months agoI purchased from three different sellers recently & never received my item, they all were 5, 10, & 15 yrs selling with e-bay. One sent me a box of rocks, the other two mailed a package without a tracking number. Everyone needs to be careful. E-bay did refund my $4,200.00

Return the box of rocks as "not as described" within thirty days for a full refund.
File "item not received" on the two orders without tracking numbers, and ask eBay to step in if the sellers are unable to provide tracking that shows delivery within three business days.

That is how old the accounts were. Were each of those sellers selling similar items continuously over all that time, and getting positive feedback from actual buyers? Or were they buyers that only started selling items recently?
Accounts can be hijacked by scammers, which is why it is important to look at the selling history, and to avoid sellers with sudden, drastic changes in behavior.
Experienced sellers with good reputations built up over years of selling similar items are highly unlikely to suddenly start shipping boxes of rocks.
