Lost item
I have an order number and item number for an order that was placed. I never got the item after paying for it and eBay says neither number exists how do I get a refund?

Did eBay tell you on a phone conversation that the order does not exist?
If you do not see the purchase on your account's purchase history then you may have purchased as a Guest. The following is helpful information if that happened.
Whether you purchased as a Guest intentionally or accidentally here is what we advise:
First, you are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from receipt: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
Next, you may have inadvertently purchased as a Guest so you will have to log OUT of your eBay account to do anything with the Guest purchase. The email you received should have a link for you and this Help page will assist you as well: Buying as a guest | eBay
On a side note, Guest purchases cannot be merged with an eBay account nor can you leave Feedback on the transaction.
