Looking for some advice. I have been told incorrect information from ebay customer service
I need to change the email address on my account. I realized that I had opened a previous ebay account prior to opening my current one. I closed the old account and tried to put in the new email address on my current account. They said I have to wait 14 days. I understand it takes some time to make changes, however, I no longer work for the company the email is addressed to. That email address is going away. Usually when you try to change an email address, they will send you an email asking if that was really you. I will not have the ability to get that verified as I will not have access to that email. I hope this makes sense. I spoke with 3 different customer service agents who have all told me different stories, maybe a language barrier, not sure.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Mentor2 years agoEach eBay account needs a unique email address. If you are unable to use an email account linked to an old eBay account, you may have to provide a different email address.
You may be able to generate a unique email address that points to your existing email inbox, depending which mail provider you are using. For instance, if you are using gmail, see here:
