Long Delays For Perfume Shipments via Ground Advantage as Limited Quantity Hazmat
Our perfume shipments via Ground Advantage as Limited Quantity Hazmat are getting stuck in a distribution center and never moving. After a certain amount of time goes by we can file a lost package request and (incredibly!) that has always resulted in the package finally moving , but (as best we can determine) we can't file the request until approximately 10 days have gone by since we shipped the item. (If we try to file it sooner, we get an error message on usps.com) So we have buyers initiating cases because they did not receive their item, and meanwhile the package is sitting in a distribution center not moving, and this happens 90% of the time when we ship perfume as Limited Quantity Hazmat via Ground Advantage. The last few times, eBay actually reimbursed the buyers and then a week or so later the package finally arrived because we had initiated the lost package request. Are other sellers having similar issues with long delays shipping perfume? if so, eBay should consider extending the anticipated delivery date for all hazmat shipments by at least 10 days which would help avoid a lot of these problems for sellers, buyers and (presumably) eBay too!
