Local pickup vs shipping once purchased

Question

Our buyer did not pick local pickup for his item. Are we able to do that after purchase but how do we track then? ebay chat not open for a couple hours yet

Local pickup has to be one of your shipping options in order for you to send a buyer your contact information so you can arrange pickup or for them to contact you. Once a buyer chooses local pickup they receive a QR or 6 digit code they bring with them that proves the transaction was completed and paid for. open the ink below to find out how it works.

If your buyer has already paid for the item, in order to be able to complete the transaction, you would have to message them, tell them you two cannot send contact info because local pickup was not an option. Then tell them the only way they can do that is for them to request cancelling the transaction, which you can then do, which will refund the buyer, so that you can relist the item with the local pickup shipping option, and they can buy it from you again. They can pay in advance or when they pick up the item. The buyer will receive a QR and a 6 digit code number which needs to be scanned/entered to prove successful completion of the transaction.

Select as the reason for the Cancellation, Buyer requested cancellation, that way you are not charged any fees or penalties.
