Is it a scam when a buyer asks to put item available for local pickup so they can send there own shipping tag?

Politely tell the buyer that you can not accept his shipping label.
It may not be a scam - the buyer may have his own fedex or ups account with good rates, but never give up control of the shipping of your item.
