Local pickup after sale when 'Local' was not on Original Listing
I have an order that just sold and come to find out the buyer is local and I did not have 'local' as a shipping option. Buyer has paid through eBay price + s/h so all good...no scam Can I just refund the buyer the s/h? when they pick up....?????
I read answers around that state "cancelling original order then re-list with 'local' as a s/h option, buyer gets refunded, then have buyer pay again.... but isn't that a bit much??? When I can just simply refund them the s/h?? All through eBay. Everyone gets paid. no scamming here...
What is best option?
Thanks

The best way to handle this so you have proof of delivery is to cancel the sale as problem with buyers address. Refund the buyer. Relist with LOCAL PICK UP ONLY.
Then the buyer receives QR code or 6 digit code in an email that you enter into the eBay app as proof of delivery. Without this your funds may be held longer and you will not have any proof of delivery. A buyer would win any item not received refund request case without proof of delivery.
