Local pick-up only- how long do I wait until I request a refund?
I bought some Christmas decorations that state local pick up only. That's fine they're only about 30 min away. I messaged the seller twice and they finally responded that they have to have someone go in their attic to get them and then they will let me know when I can pick up. They gave no indication as to when they will actually have someone go get them out of the attic. I don't want these halfway through December. The item is listed as no returns allowed. So how long do I have until I can file a case with eBay because I was sold an item that the seller does not have access to?

You are being lied to, the ornaments are not in the attic since the Seller took pictures of them ... and even if they are in the attic it doesn't take very long to go into the attic and get them out. They are trying to string you out past the 30 days so you cannot use eBay for any kind of a claim ... what complicates that is the fact that it is a Local Pickup ... the only way eBay protections work is if you actually have the items in hand ... which you don't.
The No returns accepted setting does NOT apply if an item arrives damaged or is not as described but in the case of the Local Pickup you would actually be inspecting them at pick up.
Message the Seller and let them know the latest date you will pick them up and if that does not work for them ask them to Cancel the transaction which results in you being refunded. If they come up with lame excuses, etc then I would be pretty sure its a scam of some type.

Mentor2 years agoSince the seller had to take photos of the ornaments, why are they now back in the attic? I wouldn't wait more than a week. Use the CONTACT SELLER and let them know you want to use the ornaments on your tree THIS YEAR, and if they don't have them ready by mm/dd, then you want a full refund.
