local pick up
Purchaser chose local pickup but did not utilize QR code. Confirmed receipt in feedback as shown:
Great ebayer! Item was better than described. Arranged to pickup in person and seller was very accommodating, personable and easy to work with. Had the items securely packed for safe transit. The in-person pickup made for quicker and safer delivery for a heavy bulky item. Thanks again and nice to meet you dockill!
How can I let ebay know to release payment?

Mentor4 months ago@dockill IF the listing was sold with Local Pick Up then there is a 6 digit code in your purchase history that the seller can manually add to the sold item.
Otherwise all the seller can do is mark the item as shipped from the drop down menu next to the item. Funds for Items that are shipped without tracking ( which is what the system considers this) will be held for 31 days.
The seller should have canceled the sale and relisted correctly with local pick up only if that option was not on the listing.

OP4 months agoThanks so much Local was listed as an option. After selecting shipping, purchaser chose local pickup. But payment will process in 31 days?

Mentor4 months agoYes 31 days is eBay’s policy for no tracking.
Since shipping was selected then please follow my answer in the first reply.
Let me know if the sale totaled $ 750 or more as that does complicate things.
